If a priest is not told about the man’s background and may not recognise his background, it is an offence to loyal Catholics and especially loyal Catholics deeply committed to the church when persons presents themselves for Holy Communion.
They imperil their soul to damnation.
If one is not in communion with the church but consciously, deliberately, persistently and obstinately is in defiance to the church’s teaching undeniably, a cordial doctrine of Catholic faith then you position your self to violate your own communion with the church.
You bring damnation on yourself – and not damnation from or by the church. You violate the bonds of communion with the church.
When you live persistently and obstinately in defiance to the church’s teaching, I dare say, you are free to do that, you are legally free but you are not morally free.
You are free not to be a Catholic but not free morally to act deceptively in a way that endangers the faith of others.
इग्बिनेदिओं,
You act deceptively as being in Communion with the church, and at the same time live a life that is publicly, persistently, obstinately opposed to the churches teachings – for instance being married more than once or not having been formally prepared for Holy Communion in the Roman Catholic Church.
In doing so, you violate the bonds of Holy Communion with the church –which is undeniable, a Cardinal sin.
Canon Law obliges the priest to protect the Eucharist’s when people partake in these grave acts and deny it to people if they are manifestly persistent in these grave acts.
Father John हेल्म is not in the position to know the culprits’ status, but it will be valuable to engage the culprits and to minister them to help them to discern their relationship with the church।
It will be also a valuable thing for the Catholic faithful to see and be assured that the culprits have been ministered on the grave act.
Looking at this particular person – Chief Gअब्रिएल spiritual life, it is deplorable and dangerous using the Holy Eucharist as a political/ personal expediency.
God help us!
